An example of a breaking news intro graphicImage via Wikipedia

Have you ever been watching a really good program on tevee and all of a sudden the news crew breaks in - and you think to yourself, WTF Nowwww ??

in several cities I've lived in, they have a habit of breaking into the current tevee show with high speed chases shown from helicopters; court decisions; fires at large commercial buildings; major traffic backups. why ? what can we do about it ? so why are they breaking into my miniscule tevee watching time to tell me this totally non relatable bullshit ?

Why is there always some Bullshit going on Somewhere ?

My daughter had a roommate whose friend worked at MSNBC. She basically said that with these 24 hour news channels they have to make up news. It's pretty disgusting. I mean if they have to make up news, why not find something great and positive, inspiring, encouraging?

You know, here they do the same thing with the weather. Teasers like, "Stay tuned for continued updates on breaking weather conditions." I look out my window and everything looks fine, then I watch the weather report and they got zip! Me, I watch the tickers at the bottom of the screen, especially on CNN. That's when you know something is breaking.
