MM: What time is-it 4:20 ? ooooooo, SNOOP Daddy !

oooooooooo Big Snoop,, Have Mercy !

Today we're once again reminding all our friends that there is a solution to america's mounting debt and depresion - FEDERALLY LEGALIZED MEDICAL MARIJUANA.

We know that lots of states have legalized Medical Marijuana; but the federal laws still make it illegal.  isn't it about time we axed the Harrison Act; and beefed up our civil rights ?

Snoop Dogg talks about his role in "Weeds"

If Medical Marijuana was legalized, many sufferers of longterm depression; and chronic pain wouldn't have to worry about getting their medicine. the fact remains that roughly 70% of the US population does or has used marijuana at one time or another one.

Hello America, isn't it time we stopped smoking in the closet?

Snoop Dogg's Medical Marijuana Card: Don't Leave Home Without It

According to TMZ, Long Beach rapper Snoop Dogg chivalrously stepped into a potentially awkward situation at a Norfolk, Virginia hotel, when he claimed that a package of pot mailed from Canada to one of the Doggfather's crew -- was actually intended for him. Snoop then flashed his California medical marijuana card, but the entourage addressee was hauled off anyway. No word on who retained custody of the package.

I found this video answers alot of the basic questions most people have on the medical marijuana card. the guys talk frankly because they see the need to let you know what the real deal is on the card, and how it effects your personal security. most peoples biggest worries are about their personal security and who will know you have the card. watch ths short piece to put your mind a litle more at ease.

This is our Music Monday submission -Eek A Mouse "I Love Weed"

we love Eek a Mouse and these girls are so cute; just chillin and getting their prescriptions filled - at a legal co-op in california. this is how it should be, for those who need it. lets take weed out of the alley and put it into the hands of those who really need it.

FF: Ladies Do Your Drapes Match Your Carpet ?

Yes that question is not an ordinary decorators question; but more of a Lady Clairol question, if you get me,
Sitting waiting for a table in a restaurant recently, we overheard some men talking about the women in their lives; and the conversation was on of all things - Hair. yes Hair. but not just any hair. the men were talking about if the Womens Drapes (hair on her head) Matched her Carpet (hair on your personal parts).

Whoooo HA !

Talk About Deep, and Leaning - these men had me about to roll on the floor. so today we ask you

Ladies - Does Your House Have the Same Color Scheme, or are you doing a lil custom decorating ?

Amazingly the White men said that they didn't know the real color of their womens' hair until they saw her nude and in the shower. two of them said they didn't really know if it was all their womens hair after seeing the new wigs and clip in hair thing that's hitting the white beauty market finally. that's crazy. they said that All White Women Colored Their Hair. Somehow I doubt that.

Infact I'm curious to know how many of my Female Visitors Do Actually Color Your Hair

The Blackmen in the conversation said they were unsure of their womens hair peroid, as they wondered in lots of cases if the womens' hair Was Real or My Indian Hair - yessss,,,, Sistawomen We got the mens confuzzled.  the question of color with the Blackmen was simple - they assumed that with that much action going on up there; that there had to be color and something. most said that they expected the Black women to have hair that was similar to what they remember their moms' having naturally - underneath their hair.

What ? Underneath their hair ? apparently the men think that the women have two types of hair; which explains why they have no expectation as to the Carpet and Drapes matching. What the.. Had I known this about thirty fiiive years ago, I shoooo wouldn'ta took all them trips to the hairdresser to be initiated into the sisterhood of Miss Clairol.  actually it was Creme of Nature; since I am after all a woman of color.

one of the men commented on how he didn't know if all women had carpet these days since his wife didn't. apparently she's had it removed, or keeps "Her Floors Waxed" if you know what he means. Whew ! that's just too high maintanance to be real; or useful. and no she's not a supermodel but a suburban soccer mom.

I hope that you will spend a moment and give us a few clicks to figure out if there is a difference in how women of certain ethnicitys decorate. Some how I'm curious to see how many folks will answer such a personal question. even though it's clearly visible when you're on the chemicals. I admit that I do use the stuff myself, and probably will continue. the color change for me is all about accenting my Green and or Hazel eyes; and Light Brown skin. Somehow it just became a part of who I am.

MM: World Aids Day - Remembering Fela in 2009

This is one of my most favorite Fela tunes.
yes I have his catalog and much of what he performed I got to see live, close up. like right from the side of the stage. we were friends, from the first time we met. our friendship spanned more than fifteen years.

we ran into eachother in many places and always it was the same, hey what are you doing here miss ? he was a charmer. his 30+ wives were very attached to him; as were most women who met and spent anytime with him at all. me included.

when he died of AIDS related complications it broke my heart into small tiny pieces. I was crushed in the most personal way. I had known others who had fallen to the virus; but Fela was someone who meant the world to me. in many ways in my mind, he was imortal. he wore the chains of Ogun and Elegua. he danced and carried the body of his mother back to the army barracks, from where the generals came forth and carried her to the funeral. he was just that powerful. Fela was the voice and consciousness of Nigerias' politically oppressed. he spoke through his music globally, so that we all knew the reality of what was happening at home.

today we are remembering his message of HIV Prevention and Awareness - "Be Safe"; because you never know anothers' history or destiny. he was a very profound man and spoke to the depth of your heart, and soul. his legacy to the world is immense and many of us will forever remain touched by his love and kindness.

Today I am Remembering My Friend FELA; Tomorrow who will remember you ?

Jesus Said - Bring Me That Ass

This is for all the women who feel their thighs are too fat

Honey Be Happy - Them Cakes may save your life ..

and yes she does have an ad for Booty Be Bigger Pills..Uh Huh (side eye)

in the old days they called it Your Money Maker; apparently these days they've discovered that it's really your Lifesaver.

Have Mercy Ladies - Step Away From That Evil Stairmaster,

Model measuring thigh
The crucial measurement is taken just below the bottom
(bbcnews.com)
Men and women with thighs over 60cm (23.6in) in circumference have a lower risk of heart disease and early death, a study of 3,000 people suggests.
The relationship remains even when body fat, smoking and blood cholesterol are taken into account, a Danish team says.

Those with narrow thighs may not have enough muscle mass to deal with insulin properly, raising the risk of diabetes and, in turn, heart disease, they say.

Experts cautioned that the research needed corroborating.
Some said it was too early to change current advice on eating and exercise for heart health, but the researchers said thigh size could be used as a marker for at-risk patients.

The study, published in the British Medical Journal, followed men and women in Denmark for more than 10 years.

They were measured for height, weight and thigh, hip and waist circumference and their overall percentage of body fat was calculated.

It's a very simple, very crude measure but it seems to have an individual effect. And it may be a way for doctors to assess risk
Professor Berit Heitmann, Copenhagen University Hospital
The thigh measurement was taken just below the gluteal fold, which is the crease caused by your buttocks.

Researchers also looked at the activity levels of the participants, whether they smoked, their blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
They then monitored incidence of heart disease over 10 years and death rates over 12-and-a-half years.

'Crude measure'
During this time, 257 men and 155 women died, 263 men and 140 women developed cardiovascular disease and 103 men and 34 women suffered from heart disease.

The team at the Copenhagen University Hospital found that those with the smallest thighs - below 55cm - had twice the risk of early death or serious health problems.

Professor Berit Heitmann, who led the research, said: "The increased risk was independent of abdominal and general obesity and lifestyle and cardiovascular risk factors such as blood pressure.

"Additionally we found that the risk was more highly related to thigh circumference than to waist circumference.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR THIGHS
Go to a gym and train three times a week
Exercise all the muscles in your thighs
Use a weight you can only just lift 10 times in a row
Over 3 months you will increase thighs by 6% to 10%
Source: Loughborough University
"It's a very simple, very crude measure but it seems to have an individual effect. And it may be a way for doctors to assess risk.
"The nice thing is that if you have a small thigh you can do something about it through exercise."
Previous studies have suggested that a waist circumference of over 35in (88.9cm) for a woman and 40in (101.6cm) for a man indicated a high risk of developing diabetes and heart disease.
Professor Heitmann's team says the risk of narrow thighs could be associated with too little muscle mass.
They say this can lead to the body not responding to insulin properly, increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes and, in the long-run, heart disease.
Too little fat can also lead to adverse changes in the way the body breaks down food.

'Great news'

British Heart Foundation senior cardiac nurse Judy O'Sullivan said: "There is insufficient evidence to confirm that a low thigh circumference affects a person's risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
"However, low muscle mass is associated with low levels of physical activity which is an established risk factor for developing heart disease."

Tam Fry, of the National Obesity Forum, agreed that the research needed further corroboration, saying: "This is a very interesting and slightly counter-intuitive piece of work but it has to be respected because of the numbers looked at and the duration of the research.

"This must be great news for people with larger thighs. What I find fascinating is that researchers are now going back to the drawing board and looking for every possible way of mitigating obesity."

What are You Doing this Saturday at 4:20 ?

I'm goin to the Michigan Medical Marijuana Expo on Saturday to see what's really cookin in the world of Medical Marijuana. You remember Medical Marijuana right ?

Mama Afrika Co-op's 420 hour is starting on BadGalsRadio.com so be sure to click in for a 420 min hooka of hot hits. BadGalsRadio.com to the Worldddddd

I'm in constant pain, but I never speak about it or let it stop me from doing much if anything. I take it like I take life, one breath at a time. the MMMExpo 2009 is probably going to be a big hit. I can imagine that other states will be having their own expo's. This one is specifically about exposing the options that are available to treat chronic pain and conditions which require consistent management.

This afternoon I spoke to a clinic called Compassionate Care. a nice man there told me that they will be hosting a booth at the expo. He invited me to stop by, and talk with them about my feelings and needs. If you are in Michigan and looking for a Doctor who understands the needs of patients with chronic conditions, using alternative pain management methods I'd highly suggest you contact them. They're in Troy MI - easy to get to, and offer flexible appointments.

I am not their patient YET, NOR is this a Paid Endorsement. I think they're worth it and I'm planning on making an appt with them quite soon.Clinic for Compassionate Care * 1 (269) 290-0114

many of us constant pain sufferers have grown tired of the traditional treatments, which offer little relief; as well as longterm side effects. I know that the medical community is adverse basically to anything that does not fatten their nests. As a patient I feel that "I should have the right to decide how to treat my pain"; and if I want to deal with the side effects, that invariably come with that treatment.

OOOOKKK We got our laugh out of the way

I read in the news recently about a well known rapper who was on tour and his tour bus was stopped for suspicion of possession of narcotics. welll, they barked up the wrong tree that time, because said performer produced his legal medical marijuana card and was instantly released.

that's not to say I plan to smoke like Snoop Dogg but I'm tired of having to always deal with the side effects of pain meds that leave me foggy and unable to deal with peroids of long term thinking. when you forget that alternatives exist; you are tricking yourself out of the chance, to find a viable and less harmful alternative to your present predicament.

Barack Obama understands that he needs to act on this, so lets see what he does next on the National Front. Barney Frank has introduced a bill to call for national decriminalization of Marijuana. it has yet to reach the floor for a vote; but we are hoping it will before the end of the next session of congress. Barack Obama is apparently thinking about it and so is Eric Holder. lets just hope they are aware of all the finer points of the argument; and the real need that exists - in the medical community. the health care bill should include an amendment to decriminalize and permit the dispensation of Medical Marijuana in all fifty states immediately.

saying to stop the raids is one thing; but making it happen is something all together different, because we all see it in the news happening over and over again - why ? is the fbi crazy or what ?

I have to take toxic pain meds daily and I think I should have that chance. I deserve my right to choose less harmful and less toxic treaments.

This is in Cali - some Kids are taking their rights seriously, dont' you think it's time we adults did the same thing ?

What About You - Do You think that Medical Marijuana should be approved Nationwide ?
