Rapper uses 'DWTS' host as human shield to fix slippage; voted into next round. (Video)

*Lil Kim's surgically-enhanced boobies are no stranger to the open air – just ask Diana Ross. But the "girls" were expected to stay hidden Monday night during her jive dance routine on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

Needless to say, they misbehaved and nearly tumbled out due to a wardrobe malfunction. Luckily for ABC censors, the rapper was able to address it before the live audience got an unsolicited peek. For good measure, host Tom Bergeron stepped in front of her while she adjusted her top following the dance.

"I don't know why this happens a lot of the time, but ... the girls were tryin' to come out," she told Los Angeles' KABC-TV after the show.

The near X-rated slip didn't deter at least two of the judges – who gave her dance with Derek perfect 10s. The third score was an 8, giving the partners a total of 28 points. When coupled with the audience vote, it was more than enough to pass into the next round.

See if you can see Lil Kim's almost boob-slip at about 5:17 in to the clip:

Settlement reached between singer and auction house over disputed items.

April 15, 2009

*A scheduled April 22-25 sale of Michael Jackson memorabilia will not go forward as planned after a settlement over disputed items was reached between the singer and the auction house.

As part of the agreement between Jackson's production company and Julien's Auction House, the entertainer will get to keep the nearly 2,000 items that Jackson claims were never intended to be auctioned off.

"There was so much interest from so many of Jackson's fans that instead of putting the items in the hands of private collectors, Dr. Tohme and Julien's Auction House have made arrangements that will allow the collection to be shared with and enjoyed by Jackson's fans for many years to come," read a joint statement from Jackson spokesman Dr. Tohme R. Tohme and auction organizer Darren Julien.

The statement also said MJJ Productions and Julien's Auction House would be making a "substantial" donation to MusiCares to benefit artists in need. In addition, Julien said all of Jackson's possessions, which the auction house took directly from the Neverland Ranch property, would be returned to the pop singer. He would not say where they would be taken.

MJJ Productions sued Julien in early March, seeking to halt the sale by arguing that Jackson hadn't authorized it. A judge blocked one effort by MJJ Productions to cancel it earlier this month, and another was scheduled to hear arguments today for an injunction.

"It's been our hopes to resolve this in the beginning, when the lawsuit was filed," Julien said. "It was in our best interest to resolve it. We continue to have great respect for Michael Jackson. ... I guess you could call it the greatest auction that never happened."

Julien's held a press preview on Monday that unveiled some of the lots that were supposed to be up for bid. The displayed items will continue to be presented as an "exhibition" in Beverly Hills, which costs $20 to attend. Also, auction catalogues — a $50 single volume and $200, five-volume boxed set — are continuing to sell.

The vast collection of Jackson items includes such items such as Jackson's iconic, jewel-encrusted glove, a customized Rolls Royce limousine -- featuring an interior finished in leather, walnut and 24 carat gold, elaborate costumes, antique furniture, life-size statues of superheroes and "Star Wars" villains, from Batman to Darth Vader, and a fully equipped computer game arcade.

Julien has said he spent $2 million organizing the sale, which another auctioneer estimated could have fetched $12 million after its April 22 start.

March 24, 2009

Din Thomas

*After knocking out his opponent Gabe Lemley Saturday night, mixed martial artist Din Thomas turned his attention toward another alleged brawler.

Soon after his hand was raised in victory, Thomas, who also sports an arrest record, grabbed the microphone and told the crowd that he wouldn't mind taking on Chris Brown, who is accused of beating pop star Rihanna.

"It's not cool to put your hands on a woman. So Rihanna, if you want someone to kick his a**, holler at me," said Thomas.

The veteran of nine UFC fights dismantled Lemley with a combo of punches and a brutal right knee. The fight was stopped at 3:14 of the first round.

Michael Vick Looking For Reality Show Deal: Yeah Righttt..

Jailed QB has reportedly spoken with producers about unscripted program.

April 16, 2009

Michael Vick

*In his ongoing quest to secure employment upon release from prison, former NFL quarterback Michael Vick has pitched TV producers a reality series that would show him trying to "make amends for his past."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, cameras would follow Vick beginning July 20, the day of his scheduled release from federal custody. He is currently serving a 23-month sentence for dogfighting conspiracy.

Sources said eager producers have visited the suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback in prison in hopes of signing him. As a result, several parties claim to have secured rights to a Vick project.

His attorneys told a judge this month at a bankruptcy hearing that Vick has agreed to a "television documentary deal" that will pay him $600,000. That number, however, is only a fraction of what Vick is asking for, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The athlete, who reportedly owes millions to creditors, is looking for a high-dollar figure for participation in the show.

If Vick's show finds a home, he wouldn't be the first celebrity to get help with legal fees from TV networks. Producer Mark Burnett locked up Martha Stewart for a version of "The Apprentice" and her daytime talk show "Martha" before she was released from federal prison in 2005. There also have been pre-prison countdown reality shows, including Lil Kim's "Countdown to Lockdown" on BET in 2006 and T.I.'s "Road to Redemption" this year on MTV.

First Dog's trainer says he can sit, shake and roll over on command.

April 16, 2009

*As the Obama family presented their new Portuguese water dog Bo to the press corps on Tuesday, his trainer was busy talking to Us Weekly about the types of tricks and obedience commands she has been teaching him since March.

"He sits very well, he does down very well. He shakes, he rolls over," says trainer Dawn Sylvia. "He knows his off command, which means don’t touch. He understands wait."

Bo is a "typical puppy," Sylvia continues. "He wants to play and he has his crazy moments like puppies do. But incredibly enough, I have owned and worked with a lot of dogs, and he is incredibly bright and sensitive and he thinks about things and he has an excellent memory."

Amigo Portuguese Water Dogs owner Art Stern, who bred the Obama pup, tells Us Weekly: "He's active, he's smart, he's laid-back and adaptable and should be a very good dog in the environment we envision goes on at the White House: very active, very busy, lots of people coming and going, lots of things happening."

The president is impressed with his new pet as well, telling reporters Tuesday, "He's got star quality. …That's a good looking dog, let's face it."

Obama says the entire family will "take turns walking the dog." Including him? "Of course!"

"I love him," Malia, 10, told reporters. "He's perfect."

President will remain as graduation speaker despite views considered anti-Catholic.

March 25, 2009

Pres. Barack Obama

*The University of Notre Dame will keep President Obama's invitation to speak at its May 17th spring commencement amid protests that his views on abortion and stem cell research run counter to Catholic teaching.

The Cardinal Newman Society, an advocacy group for greater orthodoxy on Catholic college and university campuses, says more than 28,000 people have signed an online petition calling the choice of Obama “an outrage and a scandal.”

But Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins says the invitation to Obama should not be taken as condoning or endorsing his positions on specific issues regarding the protection of human life.

Obama will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree during the ceremony. He will be the ninth president to receive an honorary degree from Notre Dame and the sixth to deliver a commencement address. The others were: Dwight Eisenhower (1960), Jimmy Carter (1977), Ronald Reagan (1981), George H.W. Bush (1992), and George W. Bush (2001).

Obama will also deliver commencement addresses at Arizona State University on May 13 and the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland on May 22.

Tammy Bruce fills in for conservative Laura Ingraham, calls first lady 'trash in the White House."

March 25, 2009

Tammy Bruce

*While filling in for conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, fellow radio personality Tammy Bruce launched a verbal attack against Michelle Obama, referring to her as "trash" and mocking her message to kids about the importance of good grades. [Scroll down to listen.]

During her talk with 13 students at Southeast Washington's Anacostia High School, Mrs. Obama told the teens to "work hard" and "do your best," even if their friends may tease the effort.

She said: "I didn't care whether it was cool, ‘cause I remember there were kids around my neighborhood who would say, 'Ooh, you talk funny, you talk like a white girl.' I heard that growing up my whole life, and I was like I don't even know what that means, but you know what? I'm still getting my A."

After playing that particular clip, Bruce said to her audience, "What? What? What -- what is that? And then she devolves into that weird fake accent, like Hillary did when talking to black people. What? What is that? That's, that -- you know what that is."

Bruce then played the popular YouTube clip "David After Dentist" which shows little David in his car seat still high on nitrous oxide from a dental procedure, stating, "Is this going to be forever?"

Bruce continued: "What a shame. That must've just ruined her damn day. 'I wanted the A for myself, and I wanted to do it,' and ooh, they said you sounded like a white person, 'I don't know what that means, but uhh.' Huh?"

"Man, oh, man. That's who he's married to, what does that tell you?," Bruce said. "This is what we've got -- you know what we've got? We've got trash in the White House. Trash is a, is a thing that is color blind, it can cross all eco -- ecosocionomic kind of categories, you can work on Wall Street or work at the Wal-Mart. Trash are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy."

Listen to Tammy Bruce's rant below:

Tammy Bruce calls First Lady "trash," mocks her accent, and demeans her attempt to address challenges facing many gifted black students.

Alchemist Speaks On Hip-Hop Police, "We're Snitching On Ourselves" [Video]

The Alchemist

Mobb Deep producer The Alchemist recently discussed the impact the "Hip-Hop Police" has had on rap music and how the undercover organization still profiles artists.

Alchemist said he believes the authorities attempt to draw illegal connections to rappers.
"They profile rappers," Al said in an interview. "They are knowledgable of who is in the rap game...They know who Alchemist is. They know who Prodigy is so when they drive around New York they see 'em, they follow where they're going, they take pictures, they put together a book...cause they know all the rappers are friends with people in the street, they come from the street...They wanna make connections now so when somebody gets shot or some drug deal goes down, they got all the info...They wanna know the guys in the streets that hang out with the artists. If you listen to rap, nine times outta ten we're snitching on ourselves...Like Supreme who was connected with Ja Rule...They start saying f*ck that, we're gonna start watching all these rappers and see who they're friends with." (Vod Pod)

Prior to Prodigy's current incarceration, Al spoke with SOHH about police trying to use artists against one another.
"They were asking me a lot of questions about 50 Cent and a lot of rappers," Alchemist said. "They were doing a lot of things but I wasn't speaking on that. I don't talk to the police. So I just left it at that." (SOHH)

Prodigy has also voiced his opinions on the "Hip-Hop Police" in past interviews.
"F*ck the hip-hop cops, that's my opinion," Prodigy said in an interview prior to his jail bid. "Undercover cops, basically the hip-hop task force. They harrass rappers because they on some racist, foul sh*t and that's how they get down....All they do is illegal sh*t, film you, take picture of you, all that is illegal...that's called profiling...they tried to say 50 [Cent] had me set up and all that bullsh*t....They foul." (Media Gasface)

Prodigy pleaded guilty in October 2007 to gun possession which led to his current incarceration.
Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars after pleading guilty to a weapons charge dating back to 2006. Authorities say Prodigy was pulled over in downtown Manhattan after he was spotted driving in the opposite direction on a one-way street in an attempt to claim a parking spot. A search of the car turned up an unlicensed .22-caliber pistol. He will begin his sentence January 2008. (Hip Hop Galaxy)
